Guided by the rising and setting of constellations, they determined their direction by reading the sky, deep open ocean swells, clouds, and the direction of the wind. This practice still lives on to this day.
This shirt was designed in conjunction with the graphic design program at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
